Direct Action for Ukraine
We are providing direct relief to Cider and Beer friends in Ukraine. We are donating $10 for every case, to be split as follows:
50% to @BeerFreakOrg (Oleksandr Siedov) Oleksandr is in Karkhiv directly providing supplies to the Ukrainian volunteer defenders and remaining inhabitants in this historic city that has been under siege since the first days of the war. You can see Oleksandr in this PBS news story from 3/30 here
50% to the American Cider Association Fund for Berryland. Berryland Cidery was established 6 years ago by Vitalli Karvyha, an enologist who has been making world class ciders and meads. On March 16th, his cidery which is located in a town just outside of Kyiv, was bombed to smithereens by the Russians. The American cider industry is planning a day of action to raise money to help Vitalli rebuild. Our contribution will go to this direct fund-raising effort.
On April 30th cidery's across the United States hosted a day of action in support of Berryland Cidery. To learn more, click here
