We have produced alcoholic ciders from Vermont grown apples for 17 years on this property. While we moved our cider production facility out of the basement to a new facility in downtown Newport in 2013, our apple processing and ice cider freezing still happens here at the farm. You will see 4 acres of cider orchards out the window, containing 55 different varieties of apples that are grown specifically for cider, the way that wine grapes are grown for wine. Our orchards have been holistically managed from the first plantings in 2008, and have never been sprayed with industrial chemicals. We work with 10 other small orchards around Vermont to source additional rare, sustainably grown apples for our ciders.
